Job Overview

SPERTON, in partnership with Spreadhire, supports skilled Electrical Power Engineers seeking international career opportunities in Germany through the Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte). This role is ideal for professionals experienced in power systems, electrical design, and energy infrastructure who want to grow within Europe’s advanced engineering ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and maintain power generation, transmission, and distribution systems
  • Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies
  • Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, VDE) and safety regulations
  • Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on EPC and infrastructure projects
  • Optimize energy efficiency and system reliability

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in power engineering or electrical systems
  • Strong knowledge of power generation, substations, transformers, and switchgear
  • Experience with power system analysis tools (ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSS®E, MATLAB)
  • Familiarity with LV/MV/HV systems and protection relays
  • Understanding of renewable energy integration is an advantage
  • English proficiency required; German (A2–B1) is a strong plus

Eligibility (Opportunity Card – Germany)

  • Recognized Degree Or minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Sufficient funds or sponsor for initial stay in Germany
  • Motivation to work and grow professionally in Europe
